1. Features
Mobile banking provides consumers with mobile ATM services. After applying for mobile banking service, consumers can use personal mobile devices to transfer funds, and query accounts at any time or place.
2. Benefits
(1) to telecoms providers:
By using the platform provided by the FISC Mobile Banking Sharing Center, telecoms providers can establish back-end linkups with all member banks participating in the platform. The duplication of procedures that would otherwise arise if telecoms providers had to establish separate links with individual financial institutions is reduced, and telecoms providers enjoy a single unified trnsaction flow. This makes for convenience and security.
(2) to financial institutions:
Financial institutions can meet the need of ordinary customers for mobile banking services, provide their customers with a diverse range of real-time account transfer and account query functions, and reduce the duplication of procedures that would otherwise arise if financial institutions had to establish separate links with individual telecoms providers.
(3) to customers:
To access a range of value-added mobile services including intrabank and interbank account transfers and balance inquiries, a customer need only apply to a telecoms provider for a mobile banking card or a 3G mobile device SIM card and contact a financial institution to get set up for mobile banking. Transactions are instantaneous and convenient.(back)

Before using mobile banking services for the first time, the customer must activate the card and open a new account. This applies regardless whether the customer has a FISC Card, an emome card, or a Vibo Card. The customer uses a mobile handset to select "mobile banking," which includes account transfers, account queries, and other services. If the customer selects real-time account transfer, he or she keys in/selects the bank name and account number, and inputs the amount. The handset displays an account transfer confirmation screen. After checking to ensure that all the information is correct, the customer inputs the password and the real-time account transfer takes place. The mobile banking services menu offers a choice between <Payment by account transfer>, <Credit card management>, or <Change transaction password>. If the customer selects "Payment by account transfer", he/she then keys in the type of bill to be paid, the account to be credited, and payment due date, and then selects the bank and account number to which the funds are to be transferred. The handset displays an account transfer confirmation screen. After checking to ensure that all the information is correct, the customer inputs the password and the account transfer takes place. The back end, working via the FISC Mobile Banking Sharing Center and the FISC interbank transaction processing system, then completes the transaction flow. Very fast and secure!
